Severe delays reported on A1 between Stamford and Grantham

Slow-moving traffic and severe delays are being reported on a stretch of the A1 between Stamford and Grantham.

The AA is reporting delays of 11 minutes and increasing on the northbound carriageway between the A151 Colsterworth Services junction and Washdike Lane (Boothby Pagnell/Hungerton turn-off).

Motorists are down to an average speed of 10mph.

Traffic is reported to be slowed up to the B1174 Grantham South/Little Ponton junction, with travel time to clear the delays estimated at 15 minutes.
