Cotswold Company will not open in Stamford after M&Co announces plans to return

A homeware business will not pursue its plans to move into a shop in Stamford High Street.

Cotswold Country Interiors, also known as the Cotswold Company, had submitted a planning application in July to put up signs at 23 Stamford High Street.

Plans were approved the following month.

However, M&Co has now announced it was moving back into the building which has been vacant since August 2020 when the clothing business moved out due to going into administration.

A spokesperson for the Cotswold Company has now said 'there are currently no plans to open a store in Stamford'.
