Stamford Pantomime Players and Tomorrow's Dream Performers donate money to Peterborough City Hospital and Cancer Research UK

The cast and crew of two pantomimes have presented money to good causes.

Audiences donated £1,600 following performances of Sleeping Beauty by the Stamford Pantomime Players.

Cheques were presented to representatives of Peterborough City Hospital’s neonatal unit and the Richard Marsh Critical Care Unit during an after-show party at Ryhall village hall on Saturday night.

Charity representatives Debra Cassam and Debbie Webber thanked the cast and spoke about the work they do.

A spokesman said: “These charities were chosen as they both have close association with members of the society.”

Bourne group Tomorrow’s Dream Performers raised £466 from their performances of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.

The money was presented to Sally Leaton of Cancer Research UK during an event at Bourne Abbey Church Hall on Friday evening.

Producer Karen Lee said: “We would like to give a big thank you to everyone who donated.”
