Nene Valley Railway signal box fire was arson
A signal box has been badly damaged in an arson attack.
Nene Valley Railway's Orton Mere signal box at Ferry Meadows was one of four sites targeted on Sunday night.
The charity, based at Wansford Station, Stibbington, said none of its rail events will be affected.
Two 12-year-old boys have set up a GoFundMe page at: tinyurl.com/SignalBoxFund where more than £5,000 has been pledged.
Harry and Oliver will walk the path alongside the Nene Valley Railway line from Peterborough city centre to Wansford on April 6.
On their fundraising page it says: "There are clearly some selfish people in our community. Harry and Oliver want to show that there’s plenty of kindness too."
