Sisters-in-law open True Skin and Laser clinic in Market Deeping
A pair of sisters have pooled their talents and launched a new cosmetic clinic.
Nikki Burke and sister-in-law Sarah Bates held a launch party for True Skin and Laser last Thursday having opened the doors in Market Deeping earlier this month.
They have invested more than £100,000 in refurbishing the former barber’s shop, in Horsegate, next to the Co-op, and kitting it out with the latest kit.
“We have spent quite a lot of money redeveloping the unit and making it into a luxury clinic to treat our clients,” said co-owner Nikki.
The clinic specialises in laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation and tightening, among other treatments.
Sarah began offering laser hair removal treatment a year ago, while Nikki will take charge of the skin treatment side of the business, having spent the last six months retraining on the latest techniques.
For Nikki it marks a return to the industry having been a beauty therapist before moving to work in corporate financial services 20 years ago.
The clinic also has a registered nurse who will oversee medical treatments and anti-wrinkle treatments.
“It’s for anyone from teenagers with acne to anyone with concerns about ageing,” Nikki added.
“It has been a success so far and we have big plans for the future.”
