Soft play centre Escape will open in Bourne in the former Let's Play premises

A soft play centre will get a new lease of life when it reopens under new management.

Escape will open in the former Let's Play premises in Cherryholt Road, Bourne, in April.

The new owner Sam Bower already runs a soft play centre in Nottingham where she lives and is looking forward to recreating the magic in Bourne.

She said: "Anyone who came to Let's Play won't recognise the place once I've finished with it."

Sam took over the lease last week and work is under way to rip out the old fixtures and replace them with brand new play equipment.

Escape will host different classes including music, messy play and role play.

Sam has also contacted the manager of Little Miracles South Kesteven, Lisa Jackman, to explore the idea of running sessions for children with additional needs.

Sam said: “I want the families to be able to come in and just play without feeling judged by other people. There’s no pressure for the parents and the children can just behave how they behave.”

Escape will offer a range of party packages and healthier food options.

The centre will be suitable for children aged up to 14.

Sam added: “We will cater for people who have children of varying ages so the older children will be able to play with their younger siblings.

"We want to cater for the adults too. They are the ones who choose where to take their children, and if there’s not comfortable seating and a good coffee, they won’t come.”

Stamford soft play centre becomes a plastic-free champion.
