Take a peek inside Stamford's Mint Velvet which opened on High Street earlier today
The doors have finally opened in yet another new arrival on Stamford's High Street.
Mint Velvet opened at 6 High Street and within minutes of its 9am opening, it was attracting customers.
Deputy manager Hannah Wells said: "It's got off to a great start. We opened on time and are ready to go."
Mint Velvet is a High Wycombe-based chain of around 40 stores around the UK, with others in Dubai and the nearest to Stamford being in Market Harborough.
It also operates as a concession in House of Fraser and John Lewis.
The nine-year-old company promotes what it calls "relaxed glamour."
The store, situated between NewLook and the recently-closed Steamer Trading Company, previously contained clothing stores QS and Bewise.
The building has since been refurbished with a bright new look.
Plans for the store were first revealed by the Mercury in June.
It followed the arrival of Little House of Oasis, which opened in the High Street in April.
Among the early customers were Marion Crowson (pictured in red) of Stamford.
"I have been waiting for it for ages. I used to get Mint Velvet from John Lewis. People shouldn't have to get it from Peterborough. I am very happy it's in High Street."
