DIY retailer Homebase is set to close 42 stores, putting around 1,500 jobs at risk, but the Stamford branch in Ryhall Road is unaffected.
The nearest affected stores are in Grantham and Peterborough.
The retailer is closing the stores via a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA), an insolvency procedure used by struggling firms to shut under-performing shops.
