Star of The Chase, Paul Sinha, drops in to The London Inn during a visit to Stamford
The star of a television quiz show turned heads while enjoying a Sunday lunch in Stamford.
Staff at The London Inn welcomed Paul Sinha and his partner for lunch on Sunday.
The star of ITV quiz show The Chase was visiting friends in the area who had recommended a visit to the St John's Street pub.
After the meal, Paul chatted with staff and posed for photos with the team and their customers.
Business owner Nick Pistolas said: "Paul booked a table with us when he came to Stamford with his partner. They polished off the lunches and desserts and were very happy with the meal.
"He was very generous with his time and was happy to take pictures with the regulars and the staff. He was a very chilled, relaxed and knowledgeable guy."
Paul has appeared on The Chase since 2011, where he has earned the nickname "The Sinnerman".
His co-star Mark Labbett has also visited The London Inn, but Paul chose not to tackle the giant king's roast.
Nick added: "Paul mentioned that he doesn’t get recognised very often, except for when he is around the Stamford area. Who knows - we may see him hosting a London Inn quiz in the near future!"
As well as his appearances on The Chase, Paul, 51, is a comedian, doctor and broadcaster.
He began performing stand-up comedy while working as a junior doctor in hospitals in London and King's Lynn.
