The stately home near Stamford has been named the fourth most beautiful in the world.
It places after Castle Howard in North Yorkshire, Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire and Oheka Castle in Long Island, USA.
However it is deemed more beautiful than Chatsworth House in Derbyshire, Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle.
The ranking is based on the highest number of reviews mentioning the word ‘beautiful’.
As well as being named among the most beautiful stately homes in the world, Burghley House has been posted over 32,345 times on Instagram and since June 2021 online searches for the stately home have increased by more than eight per cent.
