Yorkshireman Railtour and steam locomotive to pass over Welland Viaduct




An iconic steam train will cross over the Welland Viaduct on Saturday October 19 when the Yorkshireman Railtour passes through.

It will be pulled by either steam locomotive 60009 Union of South Africa or 46233 Duchess Of Sutherland.

The train will stop at Kettering to take on water, then pass through Corby Railway Station before reaching Harringworth Viaduct and on to Manton Junction.

It will then pass through Oakham Railway Station and stop at Melton Mowbray before continuing on to York.

The Time Travellers room on Platform 1 at Kettering Station will be open from 9am to 10.30am to view items of interest along with an opportunity to get a closer look at the train.
