Co-op donates money to the Butterfield Centre in Bourne and The Lodge Trust in Market Overton
Vulnerable adults in Bourne and Rutland will benefit from charity donations made by the Co-op.
The Butterfield Centre in Bourne received £300 to buy two benches.
The purchase means dementia patients will still be able to enjoy time outdoors while social distancing.
The Lodge Trust at Market Overton received £780 to fund its work with adults with learning disabilities.
Central England Co-op awarded the donations to help charities during the coronavirus lockdown.
Chief executive Debbie Robinson said: “Now more than ever being a co-operative business that sits at the heart of our communities is so important.
“We are delighted that these great projects have been handed a grant that will allow them to continue their fantastic work at this uncertain time.
“Community dividend fund grants like this showcase how shopping at your local Co-op allows us to fund vital projects.”
