Dr Dan Petrie and Dr Sophie Reiter join Wansford Surgery
A GP surgery has welcomed two new doctors - including a familiar face from Stamford.
Dr Dan Petrie, who worked at Lakeside Stamford, has transferred to Wansford Surgery.
Having moved to the area after leaving medical school 17 years ago, Dr Petrie completed his junior doctor and GP training while serving in the RAF.
For the past decade he has worked as a NHS GP in Corby and Stamford.
The father-of-four founded the Stamford-based charity MindSpace to support people to have good wellbeing.
Wansford Surgery has also been joined by Dr Sophie Reiter, who moved to the area from Cambridge.
The mother-of-two says her main clinical interests are women's health and contraception, as well as improving the quality of GP services and teaching.
Wansford Surgery in Yarwell Road, Wansford, is linked with King's Cliffe Surgery in West Street, King's Cliffe, and the two have seen their patient list grow to nearly 10,000 over the past four years.
As a result the surgeries' list is closed to out-of-area registrations but Wansford and King's Cliffe have taken on more clinical and administrative staff.
