Thurlby and Northorpe Repair Café near Bourne celebrates its first anniversary
Volunteers have celebrated the first anniversary of their thriving repair café.
Thurlby and Northorpe Repair Café aims to cut down on the amount of rubbish going to landfill by attempting to fix items that would otherwise be thrown away.
Stu Brett, of Northorpe, launched the scheme a year ago and has recruited 18 volunteers to help at the monthly events.
Over the year they have fixed a wide range of household items ranging from a china bull with no leg to an antique writing slope.
Stu said: "The anniversary on Sunday was our busiest day by far.
"Repair cafés are growing in popularity thanks to the momentum around recycling."
The café runs on the last Sunday of the month from 2-5pm at St Firmin's Church Hall, Thurlby.
The team are keen to recruit someone who can help out with electronics repairs.
