Tallington Lodge care home receives good rating from Care Quality Commission

The Tallington Lodge care home has received an across-the-board ‘good’ rating from inspectors.

The Care Quality Commission says residents at the home on Main Road, Tallington feel safe, it develops plans to accurately reflect patient needs, there is enough staff to care for people safely and staff are sufficiently trained.

The CQC also said medicines are safely managed and accurately recorded, the environment supports people’s needs, decisions are made in the patient’s best interests and the provider has an effective system to monitor the quality of care.

Residents also praise the kindness of the staff and they are happy with the food.

The home provides long term residential and respite care for 60 people, some who may have dementia.

Managing director of home operators County Court Care, Alykhan Kachra, said: “Our team at Tallington Lodge put our residents’ health and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do every day. We are delighted in the report findings.”

Home manager Manju Panankavil added: “We have a lovely homely atmosphere. Staff go above and beyond everyday to ensure people feel well cared for to retain their independence.”
