Stamford vet is opening new independent veterinary practice

A Stamford vet is opening a new independent practice later this year.

Cees Bennett will set up in Grantham with former house-mate Gemma Newbold, who now lives in Long Bennington.

They trained together at the Royal Veterinary College in London and shared a house as students, before qualifying 17 years ago.

Cees, 41, began her career in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps and was based in Rutland and Melton.

Their new practice will be off Barrowby Road in Grantham and Cees and Gemma are hiring others to work at the practice, with the aim of being a team of 15 by year five.

Cees said: "We are really excited to be able to offer pet owners a new locally owned independent veterinary practice offering bespoke veterinary care."
