Founding president Greg Pogonowski said: “The meeting was a great success bearing in mind we are brand new to Stamford and the area.

"We trust that more people will come and see for themselves what fun we have as we learn. What else is such good value on a Monday evening in Stamford?”

He added: “Everyone is in the same position – this is a supportive, safe and friendly way for the whole group to help each other along the path of public speaking, regardless of where anyone is in their journey, as members move at a pace to suit them. It is not one size fits all."
