The Crown Hotel in Stamford gets a four-star rating from The AA




A town centre hotel is celebrating after increasing its rating.

The Crown Hotel in Stamford's Red Lion Square has received a four-star rating from The AA after previously being three stars.

Operations manager at Knead Pubs, Ross Dykes, said: "We are all super proud of what we have all achieved.

"It's been through both heavy investment but also an amazing team.

"The people we employ are a credit to us and without them, the service we offer wouldn’t be possible.

"It’s been a five year process to get ourselves to this milestone at Knead Pubs.

"All 28 bedrooms have been refurbished, public areas heavily improved and we've also got new menus promoting locally-produced food, including meat from the Knead Farm in Tallington.

"Although nothing in the day- to- day customer experience will change at the hotel, it just re-assures us that all of our efforts are acknowledged by this well-recognised awarding body."
