Tractor run through Market Deeping supports Mind and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution
Hundreds of people enjoyed the spectacle of a tractor run as it passed through the villages around Market Deeping.
Forty-four vehicles took part in the Robinson Road Run in support of the mental health charity Mind and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
The event was hosted in memory of Glinton residents Graham Robinson and Adam Siggee.
Graham, whose family started farming at Howe Farm in Glinton after the Second World War, died in Brazil last year while Adam lost his life in a road accident in February 2020 aged 29.
Event organiser Christine Bish said: "This was a one-off memorial event for Graham and Adam.
"The other organisers have farming connections and with the covid situation we thought a tractor run would be a safe outdoor event which allows for social distancing if necessary."
The tractors chugged through Deeping Gate, Market Deeping, Deeping St James, Peakirk, Glinton, Northborough and Maxey. They also parked up on the John Eve Playing Field for people to get a closer look and to pose for photos.
The deputy mayor of Market Deeping, Virginia Moran, also presented prizes to several children who had entered online competitions in the lead up to the event.
Christine added: "The drivers thoroughly enjoyed it and everyone on the playing field was very complimentary.
"There was a brilliant atmosphere. I think people were appreciative of the opportunity to go out and do something after so long."
The event has raised £510 so far. Donations can be made at: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/robinsonroadrun
