Emergency services called to Tutor aircraft incident near RAF Wittering

Emergency services were called after a Tutor training aircraft, based at RAF Wittering, made a false landing near the base.
In a statement the base confirmed the incident, which happened at lunchtime today (Tuesday, October 2).
The statement said: "The aircraft has landed safely on open ground and the pilot is uninjured. A recovery operation is underway and a full investigation will follow."
