Two people injured in separate crashes in one day on A6003 in Rutland




This was the scene after a van was involved in a single-vehicle crash on the A6003 in Rutland.

Emergency services were called to a section of the road near Preston at around 8.15am yesterday (Wednesday, August 19).

The driver was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The A6003 was closed for a second time later the same day following a head-on crash at around 7.30pm.

A woman had to be cut free from her vehicle on a stretch of the road between Uppingham and Caldecott. She was taken to hospital for treatment. No further details are known at present.

Earlier this month a car crashed into a house in Caldecott, close to the A6003 .
