UPDATE: Police make "Bob" arrest

A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in relation to a number of offences in Bourne.

Community Policing Inspector for Stamford, Bourne and The Deepings, Inspector Ian Martin, said the suspect has been charged with five offences and bailed with conditions to court.

He added the suspect had also previously failed to answer bail so was remanded to court for that until Saturday (October 20).

"Thank you to the public for information about the offences," he said.

Inspector Martin also praised the 'great work by local officers'.

It is believed the suspect was arrested on Friday, October 19, in connection with the "Bob" graffiti which had recently appeared all over the market town.

Inspector Martin earlier this week labelled it "deplorable criminal damage" and said police were working "hard" at catching those responsible.
