UPDATED: Woman dies in A15 crash at Morton

An elderly woman has died in a collision on the A15 at Morton today (December 17).

The woman, in her 70s, was driving a Mini Cooper when it was involved in a collision with an Audi A1 at the B1177 junction at around 10.55am.

The A15 road was closed in both directions from Haconby cross roads to south of Morton and only reopened at 11pm.

An air ambulance attended the scene and any witnesses to the collision are asked to call 101 with incident reference 145 of 17 December.
