VIDEO: Heated exchanges at Lincolnshire PCC hustings




The four candidates involved in the battle to become Lincolnshire’s new Police and Crime Commissioner stepped up their campaigns last night (Thursday) at a hustings in Horncastle.

Victoria Ayling (UKIP), Daniel Simpson (Lincolnshire Independents), Marc Jones (Conservatives) and Lucinda Preston (Labour) were involved in some heated exchanges about a variety of topics including police funding and how to tackle rural crime.

It was standing room only at the event which was held at Stanhope Hall - just a week before the election to become the country’s new crime Tsar.

The four are battling to take over from Alan Hardwick who has confined he will not be seeking a second term in the £74,000 a year post.
