Easton-on-the-Hill rounded off the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a street party in the pub




A street party in the pub rounded off four days of celebrations in Easton-on-the-Hill.

More than 500 people took part in the festivities over the course of the jubilee weekend.

Villagers gathered together for a beacon lighting, beer festival, quiz, dinner dance and Easton's Got Talent competition.

The celebrations ended on Sunday with people gathering in a marquee at The Blue Bell for a street party with picnics and a performance by the D'ukes of Rutland ukulele band.

Organiser Tim Nicol said: "The whole weekend went extremely well and there was a brilliant atmosphere.

"We hope we've contributed in a minor way to the celebrations for the jubilee."
