Freckleface Home Fragrance from Bourne recognised in Gift of the Year Awards in London
Homemade wax melts created by a mum and son have been deemed the ‘gift of the year’.
Freckleface Home Fragrance took a top prize at the Gift of the Year Awards in London for its pick and mix soya wax melts.
Mum and son Tara and Noah Carlile-Swift began making the wax melts and candles in 2017 at home in Bourne under the name Freckleface Home Fragrance.
What started as a hobby grew into a successful business, with shops in Stamford, York, Leeds and Cambridge and products stocked in more than 650 other stores.
As the Freckleface journey started with wax melts, Tara and Noah were delighted that this product was the one which won the home fragrance category at the awards, which were held in London.
Tara said: “We were shortlisted with some incredible companies and products and cannot believe that our wax melts have taken the crown.
“We have grown our range of products since we started, but everything is still handmade to order.
“We love the products that we’ve created and are so pleased that industry experts love them too.”
Noah added: “We have always wanted to be a business we are proud of, so our products are vegan, our ingredients are ethically and locally sourced where possible, and we don't use any plastic in our packaging.”
Tara, Noah and the team have been at the Chelsea Flower Show this week showcasing a stall.
