Stamford and Bourne residents warned of continued strong winds

A weather warning is still in place this morning as strong winds continue to batter the area.

The yellow wind warning came into play at 9pm yesterday (Wednesday) and stays in place until 3pm today (Thursday).

Strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers may bring some disruption.

The Met Office predicts delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes are likely, there could be some short term loss of power and other services.

There could be some delays to road and rail transport with bus and train services affected.
