Stamford Townswomen's Guild donates £500 to the Amazon Children's Ward at Peterborough City Hospital
A social group raised £500 for the children's ward at Peterborough City Hospital.
The Stamford Townswomen’s Guild hosted a coffee morning, tombola and book and cake sales during the last year to raise the cash.
Vice chairman Joy Scholes was chosen to present the cheque during a recent meeting because some of her grandchildren have been cared for on the Amazon ward.
It was presented to sister Emma Wilson-Jones and play assistant Sally Leach who also gave a talk about their work.
The group is looking for new members of all ages,
It meets at St. Augustine's Church Hall, Broad Street, at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of the month.
