Mindspace Stamford and Shine Lincolnshire to take part in 'World Book Night'

A Stamford charity is encouraging adults to engage with reading on this year's 'World Book Night'.

Like the popular children’s ‘World Book Day’, the event is intended to focus on reading for one night on April 23.

Mental health charities Mindspace Stamford and Shine Lincolnshire are planning a book hunt around the town to mark the event.

Reading sessions of The Boy Between by Amanda Prowse and Josiah Hartley, which features a mother and son’s journey through mental health, will also take place.

Next week copies of the book will be placed around Stamford for the public to find and keep, in places linked to the 'five ways of wellbeing'. These are: connect, be active, grow and learn, give and pause, and take notice.

For example, for connect the book may be placed in coffee shops, and for being active it could be an outside space for walking.

All the activities can be found and booked on the Mindspace website or by visiting the premises at 39 Broad Street for tea and a chat.
