Former Blackburn Rovers, Southampton and Leicester City goalkeeper Tim Flowers brings his Alvechurch side to the Zeeco Stadium to face Stamford AFC
Manager Graham Drury feels his Stamford side deserve a decent show of support from the town after defying adversity to maintain their play-off charge.
Only goal difference is keeping the Daniels outside the coveted top five ahead of Saturday's home match with Alvechurch at the Zeeco Stadium (3pm).
Drury's charges are also only five points off top spot despite a series of setbacks during the current campaign.
Midfielders Harry Vince and Joe Burgess are both ruled out for the rest of the season with injury while then-captain Rob Morgan also departed the Daniels for league rivals Harborough Town.
Top scorer Jack Duffy has missed eight games through injury and suspension this season while influential defender James Blunden has also had 10 matches on the sidelines.
Boss Drury said: "We've had so much adversity thrown at us this season and I think that we've done amazingly.
"It's all credit to the dressing room because they've got that belief to hang in there and I've said to them that I still believe in the squad which we've got.
"We've got teams behind us in the table still breathing down our necks to get in there but we've closed the gap on the top five.
"Some teams will start twitching at this time of the season but the thing about us is that nobody is expecting it.
"We've got no pressure on us whatsoever because we're up against some massive clubs and big spenders.
"The lads deserve a decent crowd watching them on Saturday because we're in the hunt for the play-offs and they have done tremendous to be where they are."
Stamford host an Alvechurch side who have the best defensive record in the division.
Managed by former Blackburn Rovers, Southampton and Leicester City goalkeeper Tim Flowers, the Worcestershire side have conceded just 33 goals in 32 league games this season.
They arrive at the Zeeco Stadium after recording back-to-back wins over Redditch United and Bromsgrove Rovers.
Drury added: "Alvechurch had a great win in midweek and they've still got half a chance of getting in there with their games in hand.
"We had them watched on Tuesday night and it sounds like they were decent.
"It's going to be a tough game because they're not conceding goals and Dan Sweeney has now started scoring as well.
"The lads will have to keep doing what I've been asking of them to roll their sleeves up and give everything they've got."
Stamford go into the match on the back of a six-game unbeaten run which has them in second spot in the division's form table over that period.
They were 1-0 winners at Barwell on Saturday thanks to a goal from Duffy despite the squad being hit by illness.
Drury explained: "We had five lads in the squad with chest infections so it was a brilliant result.
"We managed to scrape through and get the points again to put ourselves into a bit of a race.
"We've not looked beyond the next match though because we've got some really tough fixtures coming up."
Duffy will now take on the captain's role with Blunden as his deputy following Burgess' season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in the recent win over Redditch.
Drury commented: "I feel really sorry for Joe because he's just got the captaincy that he's wanted for a long time but he's strong-willed and is still young to come back from it.
"Jack now deserves the captaincy because he's really turned into a mature player.
"I've got so much respect for him that I think he deserves this opportunity."
Duffy and Blunden were two of just three players - Lee Shaw being the other - from last season's squad who started the weekend win at Barwell.
Drury said: "We just missed out on the play-offs in the final game of last season and it's basically been a total rebuild.
"People probably haven't realised that and think we've been together for a long time.
"We had three players from last season starting on Saturday and we've brought four players in from step five."
One of those arrivals - George Hobbins who came from Skegness Town - is suspended for the next two games after collecting his 10th caution of the season at the weekend.
