Stamford AFC drawn at home to face Kidderminster Harriers in the next round of the FA Trophy

Stamford have been handed an attractive home tie in the next round of the FA Trophy if they can secure progress this weekend.

The Daniels will face former Football League side Kidderminster Harriers in a second round clash at the Zeeco Stadium on Tuesday, December 15.

However, Graham Drury’s side must first overcome their South East Division rivals Kidsgrove Athletic to secure a home date with National League North opposition in the next round.

The first round proper clash at Kidsgrove was postponed on Tuesday night due to a waterlogged pitch.

The match has now been rearranged for this Saturday with a 1pm kick-off. Due to Covid-related tier restrictions, the match will be played behind closed doors.

The drawn for the third round will see either Stamford, Kidsgrove or Kidderminster handed a bye following the withdrawal from the competition of Macclesfield Town.
