Stamford AFC sign former Halesowen Town striker Richard Gregory from Walsall Wood

Manager Graham Drury is looking forward to having the chance to finally work with new Stamford signing Richard Gregory.

Gregory has regularly lined up against the Daniels during his time with Southern League Premier Division Central rivals Halesowen Town.

The striker has been with Walsall Wood in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division this season before returning to step three of the non-league pyramid after agreeing to join the Daniels.

Drury said: "I'm finally going to get the chance to work with Richard.

"He has made me wait to get him to the club but I believe all good things are worth waiting for.

"He is someone that I still believe in and he just needs that support to get him enjoying his football again.

"He is a great player to have in a dressing room and will be another great addition."

Stamford return to action on Saturday after a free weekend with a home tie in the FA Trophy against Anstey Nomads.

The Leicestershire side play one level below the Daniels in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

However, they claimed a higher level scalp of Mickleover in this season's FA Cup before narrowly losing to National League North side Rushall Olympic at the weekend.

Former Leicester City goalkeeper Conrad Logan - who had a brief spell with Stamford a couple of seasons ago - is with the Nomads along with ex-Daniels striker Zayn Hakeem.
