Sycamore Yamaha in Uppingham are backing Danny McFadden in the Pirelli Superseries/Premier class

After surpassing his expectations this season, motorcyclist Danny McFadden is targeting a further improvement next year.

McFadden is again being backed by Sycamore Yamaha in Uppingham for the 2023 campaign with No Limits Racing.

He finished last season’s championship in 10th place and will again be riding in the Pirelli Superseries/Premier class.

McFadden explained: “This year, following a very mixed 2021 rookie season racing with the British Motorcycle Racing Club, I bypassed the Cup 1000 grids and moved straight to the Pirelli Super Series/Premier class with No Limits Racing for 2022.

“With a new motorcycle (Yamaha YZF-R1 supplied and supported by Sycamore Yamaha), tyres and tracks to learn, the focus for the year was to simply have fun and make the most of the opportunity to share the track with many British Superbike series riders of whom I’ve spent years watching on television . . . albeit whilst battling at the back of this series.

“Lots was learned during a very unusual season during which not a single wet race was had which made it great for all the family and friends that make mine and the majority of the other riders in the paddocks racing experience what it is.

“With experience and confidence growing each and every round and, despite an unfortunate crash at Craners during qualifying for the last round of the year held at Donington Park resulting in being forced to retire from the remainder of event without a single point scored, I managed to finish the championship in 10th which far surpassed my expectations for my first true year of racing.

“I will be riding again in 2023 in the Pirelli Superseries/Premier class and hopefully improving myself further with a view to improving my championship position within that class.

“I am supported by Sycamore Yamaha, a Yamaha dealership in Uppingham, and am pleased to say that they are extending their support to the 2023 race season and we look forward to working together.”

McFadden was also a rider for the DWM Endurance Racing Team last season during the team’s debut year and they finished third in the National ACU - Club 1000 class.
