Stamford Cricket Club are hosting their annual Super Sevens tournament next week.

The action gets underway on Monday night at their Uffington Road ground with games every evening ahead of Friday's finals night.

This year is a knock-out format with 16 teams of players all over the age of 40 taking part.

The draw is as follows: Monday - Grainstore v Ketton Casuals, Stamford Rugby Club v Oakham CC, Burghley CC v Market Overton CC; Tuesday - Ufford CC v Uffington CC, Barnack CC v Peterborough Town CC, Hewitt's Hammers v Sewels Savages; Wednesday - Stamford Town CC v Tolethorpe CC, Hoyles Sharks v Empingham CC, Quarter-final one; Thursday - Quarter-final two, Quarter-final three, Quarter-final four; Friday - Semi-final one, Semi-final two, Final.

Play gets underway at 6pm each night and there will be a small beer festival, barbecue and pizzas on the Friday night.

Stamford found table-topping Southill Park too hot to handle in their Cambs League Division Two clash on Saturday.

The pacesetters racked up 278-6 from their 50 overs with Tim Juggins and Andrew Hulme both taking two wickets each for Town.

Stamford were set a revised target of 190 in reply due to the wet weather and closed on 77-6 as they tumbled to a 112-run reversal.

Ufford Park went down by seven wickets in their home match with City of Ely in Division Three after being bowled out for 95.

The target was passed inside 18 overs despite Shoukat Ali taking a couple of wickets for Ufford who find themselves at the foot of the table.

Barnack's home match with March was abandoned with the visitors on 63-5 in pursuit of 175-9.

Asim Butt had blasted 14 boundaries in his 99 not out for Barnack while Shahzad Amir and Amir Munir both took two wickets each in the March reply.
