An animal rescue charity is appealing for information after a car was stolen with a dog trapped inside.
Jerry Green Dog Rescue, which has a base in Algarkirk, is urgently seeking help from anyone who may have seen a small black and wire-haired Terrier named Tilly who was taken alongside a grey, 60 plate, Volkswagen Golf yesterday afternoon.
The incident took place at approximately 5pm in the car park of the Ortongate Shopping Centre in Peterborough.
The eight-year-old dog is said to have been wearing a collar with a green Jerry Green Dog Rescue Identification tag.
The charity says it is “deeply concerned for Tilly’s safety” and is urging anyone with information to contact them immediately.
