New Odeon cinema to open in Peterborough’s Queensgate shopping centre

A new cinema is set to open later this year — and will cater for film buffs in and around south Lincolnshire.

Odeon has announced it will be opening a new eight-screen Luxe cinema in Queensgate shopping centre, in Peterborough.

The cinema brand, which will be its first in Cambridgeshire, will create 40 new jobs and measure 25,000 sq ft.

Suzie Welch, managing director UKI, ODEON Cinemas Group, said: “We are delighted to be making our regional debut in Peterborough and form a key part of Queensgate’s brand-new leisure space.

“We are looking forward to delivering an unmatched cinema experience for visitors and creating memorable experiences, complemented by our fantastic array of food and beverage options in the cinema.”

The cinema will offer more than 600 seats across its eight screens, with sound technology powered by Dolby and an extensive food and drinks range on offer to customers.

The new site will also provide another cinema destination for residents in Stamford and Spalding.
