Gross misconduct hearing for Northants police chief constable Nick Adderley will be in private
Allegations of a chief constable committing gross misconduct will be heard in private on Wednesday (February 28).
Suspended Northamptonshire Police chief constable Nick Adderley is accused of wearing a Falklands War medal despite being 15 at the time of the 1982 conflict.
There was a public complaint about the wearing of the medal, alleging he was ‘misrepresenting his past’, and he was suspended in October by the county’s police, fire and crime commissioner Stephen Mold (Con).
The complaint has been investigated by the Independent Office For Police Conduct and Mr Adderley has remained suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
