A dog rescue charity is getting ready for its next family fundraising event welcoming furry friends and offering free t-shirts.

Jerry Green Dog Rescue is inviting animal lovers from across Lincolnshire to visit Normanby Hall Country Park in Scunthorpe for its latest charitable venture Ramble for Rescue on Saturday, April 27.

Starting at 11.30am, participants can transform their typical Saturday morning stroll into a five-kilometre walk through the park’s grounds in aid of the organisation’s mission to rehome its pups.

“We are thrilled to introduce Ramble for Rescue in conjunction with Normanby Hall Country Park,” said Charlotte Toplass, event fundraising lead at Jerry Green, which has a centre in south LIncolnshire.

“This event is designed to promote physical activity for families and their dogs, and will also contribute significantly to the well-being of the dogs in our care.”

Admission is £12 per adult and free for kids and canine companions, all proceeds will go towards providing care for the dogs at the rescue centres including food, veterinary expenses, shelter, and other necessities.

With photo opportunities, puppachinos, children’s woodland trail activities and more, the charity says they are excited for the big day.

All participants and attendees are being encouraged to arrive 30 to 40 minutes before the event commences to ensure plenty of time to complete registration and collect t-shirts ready to start.

Online registrations will close on April 21, however, telephone registrations can be made up until April 27.

More information and registration forms can be found here.
