One-man Wild West show Hawk takes to stage at Nottingham Playhouse
One actor, 30 characters, a 60-minute performance — that is what awaits audiences in a Wild West one man stage show.
Hawk is a work in progress by Lewis Doherty that will be performed at Nottingham Payhouse on Saturday (August 13).
It has an age guidance of 12-plus.
Welcome to Sunnyreach, a beautiful bad-land housing some of the sharpest shooters, outlaws, and one wannabe hero.
When John Hawk travels from his small-town across the West for some adventure he winds up with one bad case of mistaken identity. Will John become a hero, or does fate have something else in store? Place your bets.
Armed with just a chair, Lewis Doherty mimes every prop, makes every sound effect and brings to life over 30 characters during the course of the performance.
Lewis is an East Midlands-based actor, writer, and theatre-maker who was one quarter of award-winning sketch comedy group Laughing Stock.
He also wrote and created The Beast Trilogy.
