Special coronation events lined up across Holbeach, Long Sutton and Spalding




Fun events are on the way to celebrate King Charles III’s coronation across the district.

There will be a Family Fun Day running in Carters Park, Holbeach on Sunday, May 7.

Visitors can expect a ‘jam - packed afternoon’ with fun for all the family.

Enjoy the fairground rides, inflatables, music from Holbeach Town Band, food and drink, activities and competitions throughout the day.

It will run from 12pm to 4pm.

Don’t let your pooch miss out on all the fun as Long Sutton will hold a King Charles III Coronation Celebrations Day Dog Show.

The event will take place at Winfrey Park on Sunday, May 7 from 12pm.

Along side the dog show will be a variety of stalls, food and drink, classic vehicles, an old fashioned fate and more.

Entry fees are £1 per dog and 40p per dog for the minor puppy class.

There will also be a range of prize’s to be won on the day.

All of the money raised from the dog show will get distributed to three chosen charity’s.

In Spalding there will be a line up of festivities from 9am to 3pm.

On Saturday, May 6 the Market Place and Hall Place will have a big screen tv live streaming the coronation.

There will also be a variety of stalls, selfie station, entertainers, interactive royal globe, balloon artists and more.

Ayscoughfee Gardens will be hosting a Coronation Picnic on Sunday, May 7 from 11am to 2pm.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnics and enjoy the live music, face painting, royal fancy dress competition and garden games.

Fleet Community Responders have organised a fun day event taking place at the playing field in Fleet, on Monday, May 8 from 1pm to 4pm.

Enjoy the food and sports activities and VIP guests, along with a coronation cake to win in the raffle along with many more prize’s.
