Best fake bands will play at Grantham park festival
A whole host of top tribute bands are coming to Grantham to play a festival in Wyndham Park in August.
Fake Festivals returns to Wyndham Park after a short absence with a line up that includes tributes to Kasabian, Red Hot Chili Peppers and U2. They will be performing along with five of the best local support bands inside the Fake Festivals marquee on August 1.
There will be a licensed bar with food and entertainment stands.
The Fake Festival also has an ‘Entertainment Zone’ for kids.
The top tribute bands to peform will be Kazabian, New2 and the Really Hot Chili Peppers.
Kazabian were formed in 2008 and they built up a big following and have been praised by the real Kasabian who they mimick in great detail. They won ‘Best Tribute’ at TribFest in their first year and are regulars on the Fake Festivals tour.
New2’s lead singer Frank Farkas is the double of Bono when he is up on stage. They recently supported Bob Geldolf in front of 6,000 fans in Malta.
The Really Hot Chili Peppers have toured extensively all over the world. Jez Lee, who owns Fake Festivals in the UK, said: “The Really Hot Chili Peppers are something else. Their lead singer is a whirlwind of energy. They are the best musicians we have on the circuit and are really worth seeing.”

Tickets for the Grantham festival cost £16.50 adults, £9 for children (10 to 17) and £42 for a family (2+2) if bought before July 1. After that date, the tickets will cost £21, £11 and £53 respectively.
Tickets can be bought on the day. They cost £25 adults and £16 children. No family tickets are available on the day. Children under 10 go free, if accompanied by an adult.
