It's the Pinchbeck Carnival this weekend and this year's theme is 'Children's Books'.

It starts on Friday (June 8) with the annual bingo night in the marquee on the Rotten Row Playing Field at 6.30pm.

On Saturday, the parade leaves Wimberley Way at noon led by the 'Royalty' float with Carnival Queen Sian Groves and Princesses Bella Parker and Sophie Bolton.

As well as decorated floats, the Breaston Highlanders marching band will be providing the music and also doing a display in the arena.

The main arena act is Ye Olde Redtail Falconry Display (Ray and Wendy Aliker) who will perform two different thirty minute shows, plus martial arts group Kuk Sool Won, Lincs Dog Display, Ben Coaton and Diamondz School of Dance.

There's a circus skills workshop, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast (weather permitting) and much, much more.

On Sunday, there will be a United Church service of worship in the marquee at 10.30am followed by Sunday lunch at 1pm. Tickets are £7.50 and need to be purchased in advance from Chris who can be contacted on 01775 680444.
