South Holland Centre in Spalding set to host first show of Beauty and the Beast later this week

Is it that time of year again? – oh yes it is!

Panto season is back and The South Holland Centre in Spalding will be hosting the first performance of Beauty and the Beast this weekend.

Featuring cast members from theatre company, Polka Dot Pantomimes the live show will be available to go and see from Friday, December 8 until Saturday, December 30.

Polka Dot has six panto productions running across the country and Spalding’s show promises to be modern whilst keeping the time-honoured tradition alive.

Company owner Darren Maddison, who wrote the story for stage with Phil Norton said: “It is quite a modern panto and has grown in popularity – it is a really great story.

“It is about Belle and her madcap inventor father who gets trapped inside the Beast’s castle – they swap places and the love story unfolds – would Belle fall in love with the Beast – and it celebrates that it is what’s on the inside that counts.”

Alongside the traditional tale, audience members can enjoy watching the professional dancers, special effects, dazzling costumes and modern music including the latest pop songs.

The show promises to be a delight to every generation and will also include special appearances from the pawfect trio, Coco, Honey and Dash.

Tickets for this years pantomime will be £16 and £15 for concession. Family tickets are available and start at £14.50 per person.
