Explore our brilliant fens in these upcoming activities happening across the district
An event that aims to bring communities together and showcase our area is back for another year of celebrations.
Fascinating Fens will be running its ‘Celebrate the Fens’ event on Saturday, June 17.
It will include a mixture of virtual and real activities to encourage people to explore the fens through its heritage, creativity and nature.
One of the events included will be at Crowland Abbey on Saturday, June 17 from 10am to 4pm.
The Abbey will host an open day which will feature bell ringing demonstration’s,guided tours inside and outside, churchyard guided tours, Belfry tours and displays of historical documents and refreshments.
It is free to enter however donations towards the Abbey are welcomed and appreciated.
Booking a place is not required.
Spalding Gentlemen’s Society will hold an open day as part of the Celebrating the fens event.
It will take place on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 from 10am to 4pm.
Visitors can enjoy the museum, exploring the exhibitions and talk to guides.
The event is free to enter and no booking is required.
