Sound Of Springsteen and Quadrophenia The Album Live come to New Theatre Royal, Lincoln

Sounds of Springsteen, performed by a band made up of fans of The Boss, comes to Lincoln’s New Theatre Royal.

The Sound Of Springsteen returns to the venue on Sunday (August 28).

Now in their fifth year of touring, the show was formed in late 2017 from a passion for the work of Bruce Springsteen.

Each member of the band were carefully chosen for their unique abilities as a performer and for their enthusiasm and love of the music of Bruce Springsteen.

They will perform all the classics, including Born To Run, Streets Of Philadelphia, Badlands, Jungleland, Born In The USA, Dancing in the Dark, Glory Days, and more.

The Who’s concept rock opera album Quadrophenia is performed in full at the New Theatre Royal on Friday night (August 26).

Quadrophenia, The Who’s second rock opera, was Pete Townshend’s homage to a pivotal moment in British youth culture. It served as an ode to teenage angst and counterculture rebellion, as well as a criticism of the British class, economic and educational systems.

Six-piece band The Goldhawks deliver an authentic performance of The Who’s concept album.

They will be backed with large-screen projection of archival footage.

There will also be a few other The Who classic hits to close the show.

Finally, The Illegal Eagles are at the venue on Saturday (August 27) celebrating 50 years of the legendary country rock band.

They will perform classics including Hotel California, Desperado, Take It Easy, New Kid In Town and Life In The Fast Lane.

The latest line-up of the show, produced, as ever, by Phil Aldridge, features Tony Kiley (formerly from Eighties band The Blow Monkeys) on drums, Trevor Newnham (Dr Hook) vocals and bass, Greg Webb vocals and guitars, Mike Baker vocals, guitars and keys and Garreth Hicklin vocals, guitars and keys.
