It is a chance to learn about the ingenious uses for these spaces, including as second world war air raid shelters and a medieval tannery.

These ancient, hand-carved caves stay a cool 14C, regardless of the temperature outside.

The attraction’s ever-popular tours with their team of expert guides return over the summer holidays after taking a break during the pandemic.
