Gates open at 6pm for a picnic beforehand, with the performance starting at 7pm.

Another Shakespeare favourite is performed the following week when Illyria theatre company brings A Midsummer Night’s Dream to the venue on Thursday, September 1.

The classic tale of romance, confusion and comedy starts at 7pm, with gates again opening at 6pm.

Five couples — three human, one fairy, and one mythical — find their relationships sorely tested, intimately probed and indecently exposed when a troupe of amateur theatricals bumble into the forest to rehearse a play.
