All About Ireland and Tupelo To Vegas — The Elvis Story come to New Theatre Royal, Lincoln
Sounds of Ireland will come to Lincoln next week with a craic-ing show, All About Ireland.
It is at the New Theatre Royal on Tuesday (August 16) following a debut sell-out nationwide tour.
An all-star cast of singers and performers will take a journey through decades of a globally-loved culture.
Featuring the Keltic Storm band and world champion Irish dancers, it will include well-known ballads and singalongs such as Dirty Old Town, The Town I Loved So Well, Tell Me Ma, and The Irish Rover.
The line-up is completed by award-winning comedian Gary Gamble, topped off with energetic reels and jigs from fiddling Derry maestro Richie Remo..
Before that is Tupelo To Vegas — The Elvis Story, an authentic rollercoaster ride through Elvis Presley’s career, on Sunday (August 14).
This biographical concert follows the ups and downs of Presley’s career from his first session at Sun Records in 1953, to the heights of the 1950s, through the NBC 1968 Comeback Special, and finally the concert years 1969 to 1977.
International Elvis Masters Champion Jared Lee will perform some of Elvis’ greatest hits, including The Wonder Of You, Heartbreak Hotel, If I Can Dream, Blue Suede Shoes, Viva Las Vegas and American Trilogy to name but a few.
The show also features video projection and narration.
