Deepings Literary Festival is a 'world of wordcraft'
Book worms will be spoilt for choice when a popular literary festival returns next month.
The much loved Deepings Literary Festival has kept book lovers entertained since 2017, bringing a number of authors to the area for fascinating talks and events.
This year is no exception, with big names such as Pam Rhodes, Jane E James and even internet sensation Jackie Weaver taking part.
The four day event will begin on Saturday, April 28 when Clara Barley, who wrote ‘The Moss House’, the amazing story so vividly portrayed on the BBC’s Gentleman Jack, will be talking at the Deepings Library.
One of Britain’s most distinguished archaeologists and the excavator of Flag Fen, Francis Pryor will also be talking at the event on Sunday, May 1 at West Deeping Village Hall.
Among the events is ‘Read Dating’, a wordy version of speed dating where visitors will spend three minutes with a number of authors including John Nicolson and Helen Matthews.
The programme runs at venues throughout the Deepings, with a fabulous mix of entertaining and informative sessions - and tickets can be pre-booked via the Stamford Arts Centre.
