Friday, November 4

A Christmas Spirit by Bourne Footlights - Bourne Corn Exchange.

Christmas craft fair - 10am to 3.30pm, The Falcon Hotel, Uppingham. Handcrafted gifts for all the family with 21 stands featuring local artisans. Free entry. Hosted by The Rotary Club of Uppingham.

Exhibition of driftwood sculptures by James Doran-Webb - 10am to 6pm, Molecey Mill, Stamford Road, West Deeping. Runs until November 8. Book tickets at moleceyestates.com

Potfest - 3pm to 7pm, Melton Mowbray Livestock Market. 100 ceramic artists under one roof. £4 for adults and accompanied children free. Refreshments on site and free parking. More at www.potfest.co.uk

Stamford fireworks display - from 5pm, Stamford Welland Academy in Green Lane. Children’s entertainment, refreshments. Free car parking but walking encouraged.Entry is £6 for adults and £3 for children aged between three and 15 with proceeds going to good causes.

Fireworks display - 6pm, Blackstones Sports and Social Club, Lincoln Road, Stamford.

Bourne fireworks spectacular - from 4pm, Manning Road Playing Field. Bonfire 4.45pm, children’s fireworks 5.15pm, main fireworks 6.30pm. Live music, food court, beer tent, fair rides and more. Children £4, adults £10, family £23. Tickets online at www.bournefireworks.co.uk.

Rutland Lions fireworks display - from 4.45pm, Rutland Showground. Children’s display at 6.15pm, 7pm main display. Free rides for children, rugby club bar and Hoggy’s Grill providing burgers and hotdogs. Nibble and Natter - 10am to midday, Abbey Church Hall, Bourne. Stalls to include books, raffle and refreshments. Proceeds to Bourne Abbey Church Funds.

Seaton Bazaar - Seaton Village Hall, 2pm to 3.30pm. Entrance £2 per adult to include a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Stalls to include cakes, preserves, accessories, gifts, Christmas bottle stall, bric a brac, books and a raffle. In aid of church funds.

Bulwick Coffee Morning - The next coffee morning will take place on Saturday, November 5, from 10am to midday in the village centre, the usual good variety of homemade produce and crafts, plus a seasonal raffle, coffee, tea and other refreshments, a chance to touch-base with one another and find out what is happening in the parish. All proceeds will be donated to The Lakelands Hospice and the parish church.

Baston Firework Extravaganza - Baston Playing Field. Gates open for the fun fair at 3pm, the children’s display is at 5.30pm and the spectacular main display, which is choreographed to music, is at 7pm. Tickets are only available in advance from the Post Office and Village Store in Baston. No tickets on the gate.

Arts Society Stamford lecture - 10.45am (seats by 10.30am), Barn Hill Methodist Church, Stamford. Caroline Shelton presents ‘Packing Up The Nation’…Saving London’s museums and galleries in the Second World War. Non-members are welcome to attend an introductory lecture for £5, and the lecture will also be available to members on Zoom.

Rutland Group of the Hardy Plant Society - 7.30pm, Uppingham Methodist Church, Orange Street, LE15 9SQ.The speaker will be Jack Willgoss, who has won many medals at Malvern and Chelsea shows for violas grown at Wildegoose Nujrseries.
